First of all, I’d like to thank you all for bearing with us while we decided which location would be best for Summer in the City 2012. It’s been a pain for all of us and I know you’re all eager to learn where the event will take place this year.

We originally intended to hold the event in London, as we have for the previous three years, but back in September when we began our search, prices for venues and accommodation had gone through the roof (most likely due to the Olympics). Even if we had managed to afford the venue costs, we didn’t think it was fair to ask people to pay such extortionate rates, so we began to look elsewhere. 

However, over the last few months, while we were working on plans for other cities, the prices in London have come back down to such a degree that we believe it is now affordable, and we can confirm that Summer in the City 2012 will be held in London!

We thank you for your patience in this, we’ve tried to be open and honest throughout the process and have always done the best we could with the information at hand, and though in a roundabout way, we are happy that we’ve ended up in London. It’s been a wonderful host city for us and we know it’s preferred by the majority of you guys too.

So it is now set in stone! Summer in the City 2012 will be held in central London on 17-19th August.
